JUNIOR-SENIOR BANQUET The annual Junior-Senior Banquet was held on Saturday, May 7, 1955, in the Fulton School Gymnasium. Upon arrival, each girl was given a wrist corsage of red roses and each boy a red rose boutonnierre. The theme for the Banquet was A Night in Hawaii ' The one end of the gym was decorated as a beach on which was a beachcomber s hut surrounded by palm trees. On one side was a small hill with a pond, flow- ers and palm trees. An ocean was placed on the other end of the gym and was filled with fish. The ceiling had silver stars hanging from a deep blue sky. The floor was waxed for dancing. The dinner was prepapred by Mrs. Elliott and Mrs. Vaughn. It was serv- ed by the Juniors Mothers. The menu consisted of: Hawaiian Punch Scalloped Potatoes and Ham Corn Cole Slaw Butter and Rolls Pie a la Mode Coffee After the dinner, Jim Minor was toastmaster for the program. Barbara Owens welcomed the Seniors and teachers. Hal Fetterman gave the re- sponse. Karen David and Beth Garsey did a Hula Dance. Luanne Leininger, Edith Eaton and Sharon Patty played Melody of Love. Miss Stoneczek and Mr. Haver crowned the King and Queen-Bob Schwyn and Virginia Vasko. They were presented with gifts by them on be- half of the Junior Class. The Coronation took place on a throne under an arch which was decorated with flowers. The throne was on a lawn which was strewn with flowers. Mrs. Shaver gave the Benediction.
