CLASS WILL We, the Senior Class of 1955, of Fulton Centralized School, Fulton County, and State of Ohio, being in sound mind and memory, do hereby make, publish, and declare this to be our last will and testament, hereby revoking any will or wills heretofore made by us. We, as a class, will our “ways with our teachers” to the Eighth Grade—it needs it. We hereby pass along to the Juniors our brains and our ability to make A’s in almost any subject. We hope that our bills, debts, fines, etc., will soon be forgotten (Mrs. Hoffman). We further declare, wish, hope, and pray that the underclassmen shall continue to handle and use textbooks with all the love and tender devotion that we exercised. I, Penelope Burkey, will my good behavior in class to Quentin Burkey and Don Hammonds. I, Don Burton, will the basketball training rules to my brother, Jack, hoping he has an easier time keeping them. I, Arlene Cook, will my manager’s bench and Home Ec. seat to Barbara Gillen hoping she can fill them and still keep up her grades. I, Robert Carter, will my basketball ability to Mike Ruffner. I, Joann Deck, will my fantastic imaginations and “screwy” ideas to anyone with brains enough to carry them out. I, Hal Fetterman, will my space in the hall to any Senior boy and Eighth Grade girl next year. I, Laura Huber, will my musical ability to Larry Roberts, if he can find any use for it. I, Monte Minor, will my ability in English to Diane Patyi. I, Bonnie Poorman, will my likeness for Literature and writing to the Junior class, knowing they will use their books and pens often. I, Tom Pupos, will my height and good looks to Wayne Smith, hoping he will put them to better use. I, Dolores Rashley, will my shorthand ability to Gary Leininger hoping it will help him in his detention writing. I, Robert Schwyn, will my athletic prowess to Lenard “Shorty” Honeywell. I, Betty Snyder, will my cooking ability to the Junior girls, who need it. I, Robert Stoup, will my good disposition to anybody but a junior. I, Virginia Vasko, will my voice to Jane Shaver if she will serenade the cafeteria cooks daily. I, Dwight Watkins, will my seat in detention hall to anyone who thinks he can fill it. I, Carol Whitten, will my driving technique to anyone who can travel faster than sound.

JUNIOR-SENIOR BANQUET The annual Junior-Senior Banquet was held on Saturday, May 15, 1954, in the Fulton School Gymnasium. Upon arrival, each girl was given a corsage of red carnations and each boy a red carnation boutonnierre. The theme for the Banquet was “In a Flower Garden.” The gym was decorated as a rock garden with paths leading around through the garden. In the center was a bird bath and around it was waxed for dancing space. This space was round and resembled a pond. In the garden, there were many different flowers and trellises decorated with lilacs. The tables were decorated with flowers and candles. The ceiling had stars hanging down from a blue sky, in which to complete the setting. The dinner was prepared and served by the Juniors’ Mothers. The menu consisted of: Tomato Juice Swiss Steak Peas and Carrots Mashed Potatoes and Gravy Cole Slaw Butter and Rolls Ice Cream Cherry Pie Coffee After the dinner, Monte Minor was toastmaster for the program. Penelope Burkey welcomed the Seniors and teachers. Beverly Willson gave the response. Dolores Rashley than gave a talk on the Blossoms, after which Laura Huber played a piano solo. Mr. Lash gave a speech entitled “The Point of no Return.” The class will was read by Carolyn Johnson and the Senior class poem was read by Mary Schmitz. Beverly Willson sang a solo and then Alice Elton talked on “The Buds.” Monte Minor, the Junior Class President, crowned the King and Queen —Bob Bratton and Alice Elton. They were presented with gifts by him on behalf of the Junior Class. The coronation took place on a throne under an arch which was decorated with flowers. Mrs. Shaver then gave the Benediction. A dance was held after the program. This page sponsored by: DUMBAR DRILLING AND SUPPLY CO. PEOPLES SAVINGS BANK
