Government ASB Secretary Connie Tubbs This year Congress tackled the Utter problem on our campus in a new way. Teach- ers ' names were put on trash cans and the one with the most trash was named Mr. Clean. Vahiable leadership was shown by Congress members when they sponsored the soap drive for Viet Nam. This campaign showed that students of FUHS could work together on important world problems. The following is a sample of how the project was started: It was asked that we, Student Congress, sponsor a drive, ' Soap for Viet Nam ' . The entire student body would bring a bar of soap to school and it would be sent to Viet Nam. It was moved and seconded to recommend it to the Executive Board. Bill Craw- ford suggested that couples get into Homecoming by bringing a bar of soap. It wasn ' t passed. David Ingram made a motion that the ASB Vice-President appoint a committee of five people to look into the situation. The motion was passed. Student ASB President Jim Moar Student Government in 1965-66 was lively due to the energetic spirit of the officers. ASB President, Jim Moar, with the aid of his able secretary, Connie Tubbs, set a record-breaking pace in main- taining and raising the high standards of Fullerton Union High Schoors student government. Many hours were sacrificed by Jim Moar towards the card sec- tion at three home games during football season. Another first which proved a huge success was the car caravan. Inter-Club Council Capably guided by its chairman, Susie Rowan, the Inter-Club Council undertook many worthy projects this year. The tradition of a Club of the Week was successfully continued, and last year ' s precedent of a Club of the Year was formalized by the addition of a plaque on which to inscribe the names of these clubs. Sponsorship of a Frosh Assembly to orient the students to the merits of some of the larger clubs was another project, as was the painting of trash cans later in the year. But the invalu- able assistance given to the individuals and their clubs was the most important duty of this year ' s I.C.C., and was performed well. Susie Rowan, I.C.C.
