Yisit the tent of the gypsy. gaze i11to her magic crystal. and reeall your past. or see what lll8 future has in store for you. :Ks ti111e was weighing heavily on Illy l1a11ds. I entered the weird tent and seated myself hefore tl1e crystal of the past. At first tl1e seene was di111. hut soon Ilt6'1'C appeared a group of huildings which I irnmediately l'f'l'OgllIZi'Cl as those of the Ifullerton Ivnion High School campus. llany students moved about the Campus. Some appeared very happy and greeted lllljll' friends joyfully. But there were others whoseeined to feel lost a11d who looked frightened as they moved among the erowd. Soon I recognized Illlllly of 111y classmates among the frightened groups and realized tl1at this seene was tl1e class of I925 entering If. Ii. H. S. as ser11ljvs. After a few moments. tl1is picture faded. and another o11e flashed into yiew. I.ee U'Kelly was trying to get a noisy huneh to Come to order. I guess we were just as had as other st-ruhs i11 our elass meetings. Soon the seene of a girls' lmaskethall game flashed i11to tl1e crystal, Ti1ne was called. and a shout arose for the sophomores. The girls of '25 had defeated tl1e stuek up juniors Lllltl seniors. This piet111'equiekly faded: and George Matter. with a worried look on his face. appeared hefore a quiet. perplexed group Llllil asked. Are there any suggestions? This was just one of those frequent junior elass meetings tl1at we had WIIEII the prolilein of lilliilllflllg tl1e juniorssenior reeeption faeed us. Next. the whole campus ttashed into yiew. hut there was an unusual appearam-e ahout it. l'urple and white colors were flying exerywhere. Students dressed i11 purple and white appeared a11d gazed proudly upo11 their eolors. Then exeitenient hegan, Iineniies rushed i11 and tried to seize the purple and white Llllfl throw it to the ground. Hut these enemies were fort-ed to retreat. and the eolors continued to fly. I IItllIIPClllllt'ly ret-ognized this scene as our glorious junior Day. Tile surely showed the St'lll0l'S who was who at IT. II. H. S. A softly-lighted Spanish eafe het,-anie yisihle. Spanish waiters served Illt? gay guests. Nleanwhile. soft. f'llt'lIllllIIlIg musie drifted into the air: and charming senoritas daneed llllfl sang. It took me little lllllf' to realize that this was the neyer- to-he-fo1'gottel1 reeeption we gave tl1e seniors of '2l. The entire eampus again appeared. .-Xgain there were small students who seemed frightened and older ones who joyfully greeted their friends. lint tl1is lllllt? l l'f'f'1'!gIIIZ4't'l my elassmates among the dignified groups who looked down with pity on the poor. frightened ones. The Class of A23 had hegun its last year at F. IV. H. 5. with all the dignity that a senior class usually l1as. :X footllall game flashed into the erystal. I reeogiiized it as the famous Santa .Ina game wl1en o11r IPLIIII went down the field to yietory. -Xnd UII this wonderful learn there were sexeral meinliers of the Class of '25. Soon l saw groups of persons dressed i11 rjueer looking elothes whieh I'f?SPIl1lllf'll those of t'tDlIXll'l5. Ns they inoyed alsout the Villlllllli. the other persons gazed at them in amazement and fear for a time lmut IlIt'II turned away i11 enxy. who eould forget the senior sweaters of '25 or the sensation they ereated? Flowly another pn-ture appeared. It portrayed the last few minutes ol eom- ineneeinent. Une hy one the niemlsers of the Class of IU25 reeiyed their luird-earned diplomas. 'Xlthough they outwardly appeared happy. there was SLICTIIUSS i11 the hearts of all. They no longer lvelonged to I . Ii. II. 5.
