A couple familiar to all FJC students were campus leaders Jo Kemp and Bob Pipes. Jo was President of AWS and Bob was President of the Sophomore class. Beginning early — as freshmen — in their campus leadership were Phyllis Russell and Joe Keltner. Phyllis was secretary, Joe was president of the Freshman Class. Both grad- uated from Whittier High.
