Beautiful decorating, depicting a Grecian atmosphere, highlighted the May 2 Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom entitled Golden Age of the Gods. Juniors were busy the week prior to the event trans- posing the school gymnasium into the gar- den setting. Waiters and waitresses were attired in Grecian robe attire. Master of ceremonies was Junior Class President Bob Oakley, and featured faculty speakers were Mr. Richard Brengelman and Mr. Gary Yost. Entertainment was furnished by the waiters and waitresses, who furnished a classic dance routine. A dance followed in the gymnasium, with music by the General Collection Agency, a rock group from Grand Island. Banquet participants enjoy a delicious meal, Beautiful decorating depicting a garden atmosphere highlighted the 1970 Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom which was appropriately themed Golden Age of the Gods, Juniors Wendel Potter and Steve Nelson begin decorating proceedings by sealing the gymnasium doors with heavy black paper, in efforts to ward off any snooping by the Seniors, BELOW: Seniors Connie Fenstemaker, Connie Milby and Diane Shotkoske plan the pictures they wish to take to capture Prom memories,

Seniors Tour Chicago Vicinity The Class of '70 took their long- awaited sneak trip to the Chicagoland area May 15-16. The trip featured a bus ride to Lincoln, a Burlington rail ride through Iowa and Illinois, a tour of the Chicago area, and a return trip to Fuller- ton. Major sights in Chicago visited by the group included the Great Lakes Naval Yard, Field Museum, Chinatown, a shopping cen- ter, and numerous downtown sights. Most of the Seniors were obviously tired upon their return to classes the following Mon- day. Faculty sponsors of the group were Mr. Leigh Metcalf, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Rabbe. Janeene Davis, Jane Morgan, and Tim Horacek view the strange sights of Chicago from the train upon arriving in the big city.
