Class l-listory On a mornmg rn September rn the year l943 a group or ooys and grrls gathered rn Fuller Hrgh School to embark on a four year voyage The voyage was to be a personally conducted tour rn charge of Mr Potter frssrsted by Mrs Lawless Mrs Weese M1ss Vtfaford The tour rncluded a nme month stay rn Freshman Land Durmg our stay we became acquarnted wrth the wonders of Algebra and a few became so entangled rn mtrrcacres that they never emerged The conductor of the tour wtsely supervrsed our recreatron and protected us from occaslonal attacks of norsy creatures called Sophomores who rn vaded the Freshman Land At the end of the mne months passports were IS sued to enable us to leave on the next crurse whrch was to Sophomore Island After a summer a somewhat smaller group assembled to embark for the stay on Sophomore Island The conductors of th1s trrp were Mr Farr and Mrs Hollaway A few of the more actrve occastonally trled to sneak across the narrow channel to Freshman Land and annoy the natrves there but the conductors quelled these attempts The assrstant was always complammg of the atmos phere of Sophomore Island whtch always affects the mhabttants w1th a form of hysterta whrch manrfested rtself rn the v1ct1r1 by much shoutmg laughrng and whrspertng A few lrked the rsland so well that they were granted a permtt to remam for a second season Our next tour was to lumor Conttnent We had no sooner landed there than the travelers began complarntng of crowded condrtrons Several of our boys started on on a voyage for Uncle Sam The conductor explamed that ondrtrons were not really more crowded than they had been but everyone who reached lunror Land IS afflrcted wrth a form of conscrousness of 1ncreasea D129 and rmportance Varrous localttres were explored on th1s contment our lr Play Grve Me Credrt and the banquet we gave the Semors Wrth few exceptrons passports were rssued to Seruor Heaven The next September our group embarked upon the last year of tts tour rn the good shrp Fuller Hrgh On landmg at Senror Heaven wrth Mr Holmes as the conductor we were grven qurte a chorce of places to explore New del1ghts met us on every hand Pleasures such as we had never dreamed were ours All too soon the year passed and the conductor called us together for the last trme tellrng us we must hasten on to make room for others and embark now on the Sea of L1fe choosmg our own shrp whrch we must sarl for ourselves We had plenty of stormy weather lout Wrlllam McCumpsey Patsy DeW1tt Horace Brewer Brll Campbell Elo1se Martm B1llDorough Lourse Hopf W E rook Ellzabeth M1tchelI Erleen Reed Betty Walker Margre Atwood Maxme Ingle completed the voyage 1 . . 1 1 .
