I can praise the Lord and say with Paul in Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is in the power of God unto salvation to every one that believed; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” I am thankful th at salvation is for all. In Ephesians 2:8, 9 we read, “For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not of works . . I want to thank the Lord for the many blessings that He, by His grace and mercy, has given me. ' OP ' n I can truly say “Amen” with Paul in Ephesians 2:13 when he de¬ clared under divine inspiration, “But in Christ Jesus ye who some¬ times were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.” I was “made nigh” at a very early age and can now see God’s guiding hand on my life in public school,, high school and in Bible school. The desire for my life is expressed in Philippians 2:15, “That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among w ho ye shine as lights in the world.” A As I leave Bible school I have but one desire ana ' that is “to be what He wants me to be.” God has been so gracious to me, that I can do no less than give to Him my very best to use as He sees fit. A song writer has penned these words, “I do not know what lies ahead, the way I cannot see; yet One stands near to be my Guide, He’ll show the way to me.” How I thank God that though the future is unknown to me, I can put my trust in Him. i “I will guide thee with mine eye” Psalm 32:8. I know ofno better eye to be guided by than that of our loving Lord. I am thankful that I have a Guide in which I can trust. The words of this chorus help me express my feelings: “Christ is not a disappointme nt, Every longing in my breast Finds in Him complete fulfillment, He has brought me into rest. I have tested Him and proved Him, More than a friend or life to me Christ is not a disappointment He is everything to me.” Truly, Christ is everything to me. .V7 ) f Being raised in a Christian home I accepted Christ as my Saviour at the age of seven. I count it a privi¬ lege to have been able to attend F.G.B.I. and study God’s precious Word. II Corinthians 5:3 “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves—but our sufficiency is of God.” Christ has truly proved to be sufficient in all things to me. My desire is expressed in John 9:4 “I must work the works of Him that sent me while it is yet day: the night corned when no man can work.” It is with a thankful heart and with praise on my lips that I, too, can testify with .the Psalmist in Psalm 40:2-3, “He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock ... And He hath put a new song in my mouth.” Not knowing what the future holds, I must say with Paul in II Timothy 1:12, “For I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day.” In my first year of Bible school, I chose Phillipians 4:13 as my verse—“I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.” Truly the Lord has been faithful. He has not only saved my soul and filled me with his Holy Spirit but filled my life with new hope, joy and peace; Christ not only is my Saviour, but has also become my Lord and Master. As we go forth to serve Him, I want to be found faith¬ ful in His service and walk worthy of the vocation where-r with I have been balled.
