Students acquire food for their souls in the study of the Word; spiritual growth through prayer and testimony; zeal and vision from Christian exhortation and fellowship; poise and friendliness through group partici¬ pation; a will to work and skill in common tasks through gratis duties; and a joy in serv¬ ing Jesus.

GO Valedictorian The tragedy of this generation is not Communism. It is not that a Roman Catholic has been elected President of the United States. It is not even that the United Nations is a tottering power. Nor is it that our nation is so morally degenerated that it is on the verge of collapse. The tragedy of this generation is, “For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.’’ Philippians 2:21. Men are seeking after their own pleasures, lusts and desires and want nothing to do with God. This is the tragedy of the generation, and is the same as it has been for centuries. This sin has plagued the human race since Adam. This inspires hatred and lust in men’s hearts and causes nations to tear at each other’s throats. This has caused the rise of Commun¬ ism. The world situation screams at every human being that he CAN NOT get along without God! Yet the tragedy remains, “... all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.” The ONLY answer to this tragedy is for people to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, to accept Him as Saviour and Lord of their lives. But HOW are the masses going to be convinced that Jesus Christ is the answer? The world needs men!—men who are wholly given over to Jesus Christ, who are motivated by the throb of His Holy Spirit. It will take DEDI¬ CATED MEN to convince the world! In 1961, there are nineteen young people going out from Full Gospel Bible Institute with a basic knowledge of God’s Word and a desire to be fully yielded to the Spirit of God. We have an awesome burden on our shoulders, “....For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: .. Luke 12:48. The challenge is before us. The responsibility is ours. Overcomers! The urgency of our generation DEMANDS that we be those DEDICATED MEN who will convince the world that Jesus Christ is the answer to this tragedy. THOSE WHO REFLECT THE TRUE LIGHT GOD PUTS WHERE THEY WILL BE SEEN.
