Vice-Principal L. O. PRITCHARD At F.G.B.I. it is our joy to teach 1st, 2nd and 3rd year Bible Construction. In FIRST YEAR Bible Construction we endeavour to outline all the Historical Books of the Old Testament including the Pentateuch. Chart Studies of the Kings, dispensations, and relative studies, lay a foundation for a complete survey of the Bible. In the course of the first year studies, a dozen charts are given and the student who compiles the neatest and best chart booklet ' wins a prize. (The 1956-57 class winner was Ken Haase.) SECOND YEAR Bible Construction includes a survey of the New Testament with special emphasis on the Prophecy of Revelation. THIRD YEAR Bible Construction includes a survey of the Old Testament Poetical and Prophetical books with special emphasis on DANIEL and the so-called MINOR PROPHETS. Each year emphasis is placed on the importance of num¬ bers in the Bible. Numbers mean nothing if they are not literal. Forty years in the wilderness did not mean thirty years. Seventy years in Babylon did not mean sixty. Seven churches in Revelation do not mean seventy. A thousand years does not mean two thousand. Because of this em¬ phasis, L.O.P. is proverbially known by the phrase 70 means 70.” The subjects you like best you teach best. That is how I feel about the subjects I teach here in F.G.B.I. Each one of these seem to add to your sp iritual growth and stature increasing your usability of God and to His service. Church History is the story of the building of the glorious Church of Christ against which the gates of Hell” will never prevail. Christian Evidence secures your belief that the Bible is indeed the Word of God in truth, verbally- inspired and given to us by holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” Pastoral Theology assures you of the conduct of a true shepherd based on Bible Ethics and Standards. False Cults is a study designed to help in contending earnestly” for the faith as delineated in the Word of God. Congregational Conducting assures you of Song leader¬ ship in your assembly. English Bible lays the foundation as to HOW” we got our English Bible known as the King James Version. The Gospel of John is treated verse by verse over the three-year course. It is rightly termed the Gospel of Belief.” Dean A. D. MARSHALL Full Gospel ' M

Principal ' s M sage Never before in the history of the world have we faced a greater need for labourers who are filled with the Holy Spirit and who are grounded in God’s word. This presents a challenge to every serious thinking Christian. There are some things only God can do in the hearts and lives of His people in preparing them for His service. Yet there are other things He has planned would be accomplished through human ministry. Rea¬ lizing this, it is a real privilege but it is also a solemn responsibility to be entrusted by the Lord with the preparation of young men and women to meet the challenge and to help fill the great need in the world’s harvest field. We do thank the Lord for every mem¬ ber of the staff and faculty who faithfully share in this work. In this Year Book you will find a picture of each one of them and a brief account of their various responsi¬ bilities or the subjects which they teach. My subjects are, The Baptism In The Holy Spirit with the First Year class; a verse by verse study of The Epistle of Romans with the First and Second Year classes; and a study of the Old Testament Tabernacle with the Third Year class. In what ever capacity any of us may serve we are all deeply conscious of our dependence upon the Lord and the prayers of His people that we might be faithful in the responsibilities which are ours. We shall always be grateful to the Lord for all who have so faithfully stood with us in so many different ways in making the work possible. As this book is especially dedicated to the Eston Full Gospel Church which has served as the mother assembly to our Bible School family, we want to ex¬ press our heartfelt gratitude to each one, for the part they have had in this work in the years which are past. Now as we come to the end of another term and another group of graduates are leaving our midst we extend to them our sincere congratulations. We want to assure them they will always have a very close place in our hearts. Our prayers go with them that God will guide and direct every one of them into the centre of His will and that each one may be greatly used in His service. Bible Institute 5

R. T. WILSON FIRST YEAR Bible Doctrine—Reveals the infallibility of the Word of God; Man, who through the sin of Adam, is eternally lost and in need of SALVATION by REGENERATION through faith in Jesus Christ who alone gives JUSTIFICATION. SECOND YEAR Bible Doctrine Is the work of the cross in: Redemption, Propitiation, Reconciliation and Sanctification. These are not obtained by law works, ' For by Grace are ye saved through faith.” Jew and Gentile alike are saved by Grace in the New Covenant of His blood, and through acceptance of this, we will meet the Lord in the air and be forever with Him. THIRD YEAR Christology—God in love sent Christ to be crucified, that sinful men by faith in Christ can have forgiveness of sins. The resurrected Christ will soon come for all who have accepted Him and He will be the Judge of all who reject God ' s plan of Salvation. SECOND AND THIRD YEARS Acts—Of men empowered by the Holy Spirit to work signs and wonders, proclaiming the good news, ' Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. PEDAGOGY In this course, we study the scriptural basis of the teaching ministry, the methods of Jesus, t he Master-Teacher, and their application to Sunday School teaching of today. The Laws of Teaching and the methods of lesson preparation and presentation are covered as related to Bible Clubs, Bible Camps, Vacation Bible School, Sunday School and other forms of ministry to the children and youth. CHILD STUDY To effectively meet the spiritual needs of children, we must be familiar with the characteristics and needs of each age group. In these studies, we cover the physical, mental, social and spiritual characteristics of each age group from infancy to adulthood. We learn how to use these traits to train them in God’s Word. SUNDAY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION To operate most effectively and efficiently, a Sunday School must be properly organized. Pupils must be grouped and graded according to their needs and learning ability. Teachers and officers must be trained. In this course, we study the require¬ ments of a successful Sunday School and h ow to put them into practice. W. E. CROWDER Bible Institute 7
