Mr, Thib., We Think You Are Great! lf anyone is deserving of being the recipient of an hon- orable tribute, it is Mr. Larry Thibodeau. A high school teacher is one who helps students to learn, but when this skill is combined with such qualities as: friendship, loy- alty, fairness, and a sense of warm humor that enlightens all, you have much more than an ordinary teacher. You have one who is working at his maximum to prepare the immature students of today for transformation into the young adults of tomorrow. Mr. Thibodeau emphasizes individuality and works to strenghten the egos and per- sonalities of his students so that they may realize confi- dence and learning go hand in hand. This one is for you, Mr. Thib from the Class of '79! We are finally at the end of the beginning, and as we look to the possibility of a strong future, we have you and oth- ers like you to be grateful to. Many thanks, Mr. Thibo- deau. ll fWritten by Kate Moirsj - li In His Younger Days I

In Memoriam ROBIN BIRD - C1960-19723 The Lord's ways are not always in the clearest of lightp and when a loved one is called at such a tender, innocent age to adjoin God, confusion and heartbreak so sorrowfully felt, are most unbearable. The death of Robin is not a forgotten journey: for affectionately warm and lov- ing thoughts of one so very special live on infinitely within, deeply embedded in the bosom of our hearts and the immeasurable abyss of our souls. A small flame from the light of your being will burn inside all who knew and loved youp and treasured memories will be forever vivid in reminiscent minds. Your physical absence as we prepare for graduation is deeply felt indeedg but your ever-present spirit will be with us as we march down the aisle toward boundless goals and dreams. FFII1 LTY Mr. Harold Slipp, graduate of Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, has taught mathematics in Fort Fairfield High School for 12 years. He was one of the first coaches for the Golf Team and served several years as advisor for the Student Council. lt was within his teaching career that an independent math-study program was estab- lished and which has proved to be a help to many college-bound students. He has been extremely conscientious in his efforts to seek perfection in his work and in the achievements of his students. Mr. Kenneth Clark received his Bachelor and Masters' degrees from the University of Maine in Orono. He has taught in Easton High School for five years and served as an agricul- ture teacher for thirty-five years here at Fort Fairfield High School. His nickname of COACH is a well-deserved one as scores of young men in our community and many who have moved away boast of having played bas- ketball under his able direction. The Frontier Chapter of FFA has done extremely well with Mr. Clark as the advisor. Coach has encour- aged teenagers to aim for high ideals in their future and to excell in whatever they may try. These two faculty members are planning to retire this year. We, on behalf of both faculty and student body, wish these teachers our best for their leisurely retirement years. We will miss both of you! 5
