The Fruifland Chapfer of 'rhe Fufure Farmers of America was re-organized in I'-747 and has been acfive in disfrici, sfaie and naiional confesfs since fhaf +ime. This year fhe Fruifland Chapier par+icipa+ed in ihe following con+es+s in ihe Wes'I'ern Idaho Dis+ric+: Swine iudging, Paliamen+ary Procedure confesi, Dairy Caffle judging, Pouliry judging, Dairy Producfs, Farm Mechanics, Crop and Weed Seed iudging and idenfificafion, and Livesioclr in which Fruilland placed firs'I' wi+h Neil Cross as high individual in fhe coniesi. The F.F.A. boys also enfered 'I'he above coniesfs a'I' Moscow in S+a+e compeiiiion. The Fruifland Chapfer annually sponsors 'lhe Spring Fair, sfaried in I948, and invifes ihe newly organized Paye++e and New Plymouih chap+ers. Some of fhe F.F.A. proiecfs are also shown in The PayeH'e Couniy Fair and in fhe Wesiern Idaho Sfafe Fair which is held in Boise each year. We annually sponsor fhe Ag. Ball whose Chapier Sweeihearl' fhis year was Bonnie Brower, 'rhe Fresh- man candida+e. She was presen+ed wifh a box of chocolafes and an F.F.A. Swee+hear+ iaclce+. Fund raising ac+ivi'ries fhis year included: a Swine proiec+ of four Duroc sows, a soda pop machine, and Chrisimas card sales.
