scormg in the second quarter of Captain Bobby Carter was the main attractron in the Stuart game Hrs brilliant blocking and hard tackling carried us t fighting tie of 6 and 6 This was a game to be remembered for years to come R V Russ Albritton our out standing end led with skilled blocking on the offense and turn ed many of the plays on the de fense in the game with the Avon Park Red Devils The Frostproof Bullpups open- ed their 1949-50 football season with a 26 -O win over the Se- bring Blue Streaks A marvelous defensive game was played in the first quarter and the first touchdown was made in the sec ond quarter by Casper Walden He made several touchdowns and also made spectacular runs Again the Bullpups were victor nous when they played the Krs srmmee Kowboys by a score of 13 7 Charles Jones was the outstanding player of the game with his excellent passes and the game if Earl Bullard pounced on a fum ble on the 45 yard line during the first half of the game against Auburndale and started the Bull pups off to another 18 12 win over the Bloodhounds Bully Greenway played a very outstanding game when the Bull pups were defeated for the first time this season by the lake Wales Highlanders He made ex traordrnary attempts at gaining ground for the Bullpups by his fast running o ' - 0 . -I . .
