Dr. Horowitz was formerly an assistant principal at Northridge Jr. High, Sutter Jr. High, Gardena High School and El Camino Real High School. He was principal of Gompers Jr. High prior to his appointment to Frost. His experiences also include the role of counselor at San Fernando High School and English teacher at Pacoima Jr, High. Dr. Horowitz graduated from U.S.C. and Cal State Northridge where he majored in English and social science. He is married to Delores Horowitz who formerly taught French at Frost. His son Derrick attends the ninth grade at Nobel Jr. High and his son Greg is a senior at Granada High School. -Karen Donaldson
