Chaos and mass confusion takes place after every forty minutes and lasts for only two-hundred and forty seconds. If you don't know what I 'm talking about, you will. After every class, students are allowed four minutes to get to their next subject. Did you ever ask yourself why four? Why not five? Do you wonder how you can ever make it, stopping at your lockeig getting your books, and then traveling to the other end of the school, all while chatting with your friend next to you. On maybe if you're having a good day, you'll get behind three or four people walking side by side moving' slower than snails! And only on a good day will you be late and get the new and latest addition to the school rules, ninth period. As you sit back in your seat, you say over and oven it wasn't my fault . And you blame it on the chaos and mass confusion that exists after every forty minutes and lasts only two-hundred and forty seconds. Lynn Gottberg

I ts Friday! There is nothing like a Friday afternoon that can make you feel happier than you've been all week. But what do you have to do to reach Friday? You have to sit in classes for five days, a total of 33.6 hours. After awhile you begin to worship your weekends! What exactly does a Friday mean to people? It means fun! For the next two days you can forget about everything and concentrate on parties, dates, cruising around and sleeping in. Unfortunately, two days only lasts 48 hours and before you know it, its ten o'clock Sunday night. You begin to think about starting a new week when suddenly you realize you have homework. In seconds your perfect weekend has been wrecked. While debating whether or not you should do it, you think up some excuses which may solve your problem. You begin with, I forgotthe book , then move on to its in my locker , and finally examine the ever popular my dog ate it . Knowing these won't work, you decide to try some- thing new: we had no heat and we had to burn it to keep warm , Martians landed in my backyard and held me as a hostage until I gave it up , or 'fl was grounded and my parents wouldn't let me out of my room to get my book . After thinking about these you decide that no one in their right mind would believe you so you decide to tell the truth I didnt do it Another Monday starts and the long week begins Once again you begin to wonder if those wor shipped days will ever get here Lynn Gottberg 6'
