A 1 4-new F ,A Thanks to Karen Schultz, our chairman, and Mr. Sabuda, our advisor, Homecoming '85 was The Best You've Ever Seen . The theme of this year s homecoming, Surfs Up , aroused a lot of spirit. The celebration started with Spirit Week where the majority of the school showed their school spirit by dressing up, dressing down, wearing a hat and sun- glasses, dressing Hawaiian, and by wearing their class color. The assembly, organized by Kerry Rich and RJ. Will, officially marked the start of Home- coming Weekend. The announcement of Paul Blackowski and Karen Strawbrich as the 1985 King and Queen took place during this assembly. The court consisted of our Senior attendants Tammy Kerr and Paul Kellner, Junior attendants Hollie Buscaglia and John Lates, and finally our Sophomore attendants Sandy Kalinski and Joe Mitchell. Heidi Riederer organized the election of the King, Queen, and the court. Later, Friday night, Frontier held its second Bon Fire with the hitting of the car. Music was provided by the Music Maker. The Bon Fire was a fun filled night arranged by Colleen Ernst and Deanne Pietraszck. The Homecoming Parade, which was one of the best Frontier has seen, was held Saturday morning. The success of the parade can be at- tributed to the hard work of Gina DiFlavio and Kathy Nowak. The parade began with the schools Color Guard, marching band, seven floats, and was followed by three fire engines. The floats were judged on creativity, detail and theme. First place went to the Art club, second place to Chris Kresconko, and third place went to student government. Even though we watched our team tie the football game O-0 with Amherst in the rain, our spirits were not dampened for the dance Satur- day evening. Big Wheelie and the Hubcaps provided the entertainment. We can all thank Debbie Salerno for organizing a wonderful even- mg. by Gina DiFlavio and Kathy Nowak
