This year Homecoming was Oct. 20. Its theme was Rumble in the Iungle The King and Queen crowned at the pep as- sembly were Bob Falcone and Kim Mazon The Senior attendants were Herb Schultz and Sandy Sanetz. Attending for the Iu- niors were Blake Bednarz and Renee Phil- lips. The Sophomore attendants were Gary Toporek and Amy Verbanoff. Reports from H E Homecoming 1 985 o it 'Q is , , . 3 I an the sports teams were then given, and last- ly the games. This year's games included the tricycle race, wheelbarrow race, three- legged race,the rootbeer chug, the pie-eat- ing contest, a banana pass, and then the famous tug-of-war. This year there was a new group of participants - the teachers! They may have ended in last place, but it wasn't from lack of effort! The Seniors end- ed up winning the games. On Friday night, an old tradition was re- vived - that of the bonfire. At the bonfire was a contest to see who, by using a sledge- hammer, could dent a car the worst. Saturday morning the Homecoming Pa- rade started from Blasdell Elementary, with the band in the lead, followed by the floats. In the afternoon, the stands were packed for the Homecoming football game. The Falcons played a great game, earning a vic- tory over Maryvale 7 to 0.
