No. Life's Seasons At the time of this writing it was January, the beginning of another year. The release for this issue of Gateway had already been scheduled for the spring of 1967. By then we will again have passed through the rigors of another winter. The snow will have melted leaving the earth refreshed. Days will be growing longer and all nature bathed in warm sunshine, will again be coming to life. New leaves will have covered the naked boughs of trees and shrubs. Grass will grow greener with each passing hour while flowers in their wonderous hues will add to the display of this regeneration of life. And so it is with all of us. Man too is destined to pass through these seasons of life. Youth enthused with the experience of living, encouraged by the past and challenged by the future best personifies spring. It is then that youth prepares himself not only for adulthood of summer but also for the declining years of fall and winter which lie ahead. It is then that he acquires the character, the personal qualities, the attitudes and the desires that will continue to give him assurance, direction and guidance throughout life. Thus let the Gateway for 1967 serve as a record of those achieve- ments and accomplishments as we work and play together during these formative years here at Frontier. DISTRICT PRINCIPAL MR.
