Class Histor JUNIOR YEAR The twenty-one members of our class started their successful Junior year by selecting Alan Morey as president, Vincent Rybnick, vice-president, Ronnie Mangile, secretary, Vernon Johnson, treasurer, Mrs. Ball as our class sponsor. We placed ten boys on the football team. To help cheer the boys on to victory, we chose Billie Wente as cheerleader and Mary Kay Nonbello was football queen attendant. We placed four boys on the basketball team and seven boys went out for track. To keep the Pep Club's money straight, the girls elected Mary Kay Nonbello as treasurer. Vince Rybnick and Tonna Fernetti helped the speech class to win a one with their one oct contest play, Winter Sunset. Tonna Fernetti was chosen the leading actress of the league. We put on a good play, Wedding Spells under the direction of Mrs. Ball. We helped the upperclassmen make a success of the high school minstrel, Newsboys and Bootblacks. Joyce Coffey, Gary Terlip, Shirley Flaker, Tonna Fernetti, and Mary Kay Nonbello accompanied the play cast to the College for the speech contest and received one's, two's and three's on their readings and orations. The girls were proud to have seven members in F. H. A. and to have Jolene Merando elected vic-presi- dent, Billie Wente, reporter, Mary Kay Nonbello, parliamentarian, and Tonna Fernetti, song leader. Shirley Flaker and Tonna Fernetti were candidates for district officers. Tonna Fernetti was chosen secretary. The same two girls received their State Degrees, being the first received in the Frontenac Chapter. They also represented Frontenac's Lion's Club and tie American Le- gion at Girls State. Roy Moriconi and Gladys Johnson were selected to run for annual king and queen. The Juniors closed their successful junior year with thoughts of their senior year in the near future. SENIOR YEAR Twenty-four Seniors did a wise thing when they elected Frank Grilz, president, Dan Blessant, vice-president, Jolene Merando, secretary-treasurer, Miss Monahan as their sponsor. We placed ten boys on the football team and five on the basketbal.l team. Alan Morey was honored as the Captain of the Raiders, and placed on the Cee Cee League All Star Team. We elected Mary Kay Nonbello and Jolene Merando as our cheerleaders. Joyce Coffey was elected football queen and Jolene Merando and Betty Tassi as her attendants. Jolene Merando was chosen basketball queen and Mary Kay Nonbello and Virginia Papish as attendants. Seven girls belonged to F. H. A. and Mary Kay Nonbello was chosen secretary, Billie Wente, treasurer, and Shirley Flaker, reporter. Tonna Fernetti served her term of office as District F. H. A. Secretary. We were very proud of Billie Wente, Mary Kay Nonbello, Don Morey, and Gary Terlip when they won a rating of one in the one act play contest with their play, Three on A Bench. We chose Gary Terlip and Shirley Flaker as our annual king and queen candidates. Billie Wente was chosen president, Shirley Flaker, vice-president, Virginia Papish, secretary, and Joyce Coffey, reporter of the Pep Club. Finally twelve long years of studying came to an end. We are proud that we made such wise choices during these twelve years, for now we feel that we can face the future that lies ahead of us.
