lass Histor FRESHMAN YEAR We began our Freshngan year with twenty-three members. To rule over the class we elected class officers and our sponsor. The officers were: Donald Morey, president, Francis Vacca, vice- president, Gladys Johnson, secretary, Shirley Flaker, treasurer, and Miss Wachter as our sponsor. The girls won't forget being initiated into F. H. A. by the Sophomores. lWo.zld you if you had to bow all day?J But they showed the others when Mary Kay Nonbello was chosen vice-president. We were proud to have four boys on the undefeated football team. To help cheer the boys on, we elected Mary Kay Nonbello as our cheerleader and Tonna Fernetti as our candidate for football queen. Jolene Merando was elected secretary of the Pep Club. We also put on the hit oper- etta of the year, ln Grand Old Switzerland. Betty Tassi and Donald Morey were chosen to re- present our class in the yearbook contest. Our good old Freshman year came to an end when Miss Wachter handed us our diplomas indicating that our glorious year of being Green Freshmen was over. Come to think of it, we weren't green-or were we???? SOPHOMORE YEAR ln our first year of high school we chose Gary Terlip, president, Joyce Coffey, vice-president, Vincent Rybnick, secretary, Roy Moriconi, treasurer, Mr. Caruso as our sponsor to lead us over the rough roads ahead. We were proud to have six boys on the undefeated football team, and Vince Rybnick placed as end on the Cee Cee League All Star Team. We elected Mary Kay Non- bello as our cheerleader. We were glad that three of our boys placed on the basketball B team. We also had six boys out for track. The twelve girls that belonged to F. H. A. started the year right by using the privilege of initiating the Freshmen. Shirley Flaker was elected president, Gladys John- son, secretary,'Tonna Lee Fernetti, treasurer, Joyce Coffey, Parliamentarian, Jolene Merando, historian. Gary Terlip and Shirley Flaker represented the Sophomores in the speech contest at the College, both receiving one's for their oration and reading. To bring our first year of high school to a happy close we elected Joyce Coffey and Alan Morey as our annual candidates.
