RECENT IMPROVEMENTS AND ADDITIONS We thought it might be of interest to those who have not visited our school recently to learn of some of the things that have been done in recent months. The most extensive changes have been made in our Home Ee. Cot- tage. The little kitchen and di11ing room have been converted into a larger dining room and an archway made between it and the living room. The door, formerly between the foods laboratory and living 1'oom, has been eliminated. All rooms have been redecorated and floors refinished. But perhaps the nicest thing that has happened at the cot- tage in a long time is the addition of new electrical equipment-fluores- cent lights, electric stove, refrigerator, washing machine and sweeper. In the main building the wall between the room just back of the auditorium and the room at the south end of the hall has beenremoved and a most attractive and usable room is the result. Since there is al- ready a small stage at the east end of this room it can be used for speech classes and meetings of various kinds. In every room in the school, germicidal lights have been installed. These were supplied by the P. T. A. All class rooms are equipped with modern fluorescent lights. A flood light has been put up in front of the main entrance which adds to the attractiveness of our school. Painting and redecorating seem to be in progress intsome part of the building almost all the time. At present the stage and scenery in She auditorium is being renovated. Venetian blinds have been hung at all windows in the south rooms of the building. The P. T. A. also helped defray expenses on these. The next project upon which work has just begun is a new football field and stadium. This is to be located on the corner just south of our school.
