66tf0fLpl4q The Senior Class of 1954 presented their last stage performance, 'The Tower Room Mystery, on March 26 at 8:00 P.M. in the Froid gym before a very large crowd. The scene of the play took place in the tower room of an old castle, inherited by Jack Chalice, played by Jimmie Westberg. His sister, Kate Chalice, played by Naoma Buckendahl, went with him to the old castle when he decided he needed mysterious surroundings for his play. Little did he realize what mystery the tower room really possessed. When they arrived at the old castle, the events were fast moving and mysterious. Myra Vernon played by Leona Luebke added to the mystery by her mysterious ways. Unknown to Jack and Kate, Kennedy Ellsworth, Kate's fiance, played by Dennis Paulson, had arranged for a company of theatre actors to lend the spooky atmosphere to the tower room, needed by Jack to finish his mystery. Mrs. Barrett, Martin Pickins, The Master, Beatrice, and Antoinette played by Judy Reiter, Romain Ryder, Fritz Wulf, Janis Emswiler, and Jean Grovom respectively, were the actors hired by Kennedy Ellsworth. Unknown to either the actors or Kennedy, there were real evil forces at work in the castle. The three servants, Matilda, Emily, and Andrew, played by Connie Bergh, Adeline Hekkel, and Lloyd Mogen respectively, wanted the house for themselves and would stop at nothing to get it. The mystery was soon solved and the gold that the mystery woman, Myra Vernon, had been searching for was found and it looked as if the romance of Jack and Myra could proceed without supernatural interference. The Seniors presented their director, Miss Osta Madsen, with a Lazy Susan as a token of thanks for her hard work. The Girls' Glee Club, directed by Superintendent G.N. Anderson, sang two numbers. After Cue play the F .F.A. boys sponsored a ham and poultry raffle. Lunch, planned and served by the juniors, was open to the public after the play. P!3CI1C1l'lg97 Learning anything, Jim?
