,i- We were not allowed to go through the Air Force Base as they have become very strict in admitting no visitors since it has become a jet baseg however, we did see several jets flying through the air leaving their clouds of smoke behind them. Another highlight of the trip was the fact that we saw several cinemascope movies. The people who had never seen them were really thrilled by what they saw. We had planned to leave Great Falls very early Tuesday morning so that we would be able to visit the campm of Northern Montana College at Havre on our way home, but Romain's car was in the garage and he was unable to get it out tmtil shortly aftemoon, so we were off to a late start. Our first stop on the way home was Havre, where we picked up Jimmie's car at the college. He decided that his BIG sister had had it long enough. We were hungry again so we stopped at the Dutch Shoppe. We thought that maybe Mr. Reuter wasn't hungry. He really was, but then we thought we might have another guest as a beggar stopped him to ask for a loan. We left Havre with Mrs. Reuter at the wheel of Reuter's car once again, Jim and his car and as for the other car it was hard to tell who might be driving. We girls had never seen any boys who got so tired of driving in such a short time. We stopped at the Saco Hot Springs where Jim and Fritz went swimming. Those girls and their cameras, and Ithought boys were the only ones who collected pictures of bathing beauties. On our way again, we drove until we reached Wolf Point where we stopped to eat once more. Almost everyone had hamburgers. Remember, how we had vowed never to eat ham- burgers again after having gone to that drive-in in Great Falls. I bet Judy will never forget that day when she had a tray, five cups and saucers, five spoons, a glass of milk, six ham- burgers and catsup and mustard sitting on her lap, instead of on trays on the car doors where they belonged. She was trying to eat, but, oh, what a time she did have, as did the other five passengers, who were struggling with oozing relish and juices from their hamburgers, spilling coffee and rubbing elbows in the crowded car. In Wolf Point, Jimmie decided that he was too tired to drive any further so Leona drove from there on home. We arrived back in Froid on Tuesday night at 11:00. Almost everyone was so tired that they just took the things that they needed and left the rest until the next day when they sorted out their own belongings. Romain's car looked like a traveling salesman'sg it was so loaded down with coats and other clothing. We all returned to school Wednesday morning, ten very tired but very happy and satisfied people.
