Our noble class president of '54 Was also president the year before, He's Jimmie Westberg, our valedictorian, He led the grand march with our salutatorian. As a pharmacist he should be handy Now, don't you think we could call him a Jim dandy? Our football player who's got the stuff Is Farrell Wulf and he treats 'ern rough. When you hear him whistling and singing so gay It's almost certain he's coming your wayg In the morning you'll find he's always tardy Could it be his breakfast is much too hardy? fgltd Sa fT une: Cha.nging Partnersj It is now graduation And our days in school are done So we'll just say farewell now To each and every one. First we worked for our credits And then we had our play We have tried to do the right things In each a.nd every way. We have had our two class plays Some have taken part in band. And in sports we 've nied our best. That's why we think Froid High is grand. We'll just leave with our mem'ries But we wish to drink a toast To 'dear old Froid High School The school we love the most. I Pass the eggs and bacon. Anybody want more coffee? Have another roll or are you ready for a maple stick? That was the general conversation Saturday morning, May 1, when the seniors and Mr. and Mrs. Lorrie Reuter met at Hekkel's where they had breakfast at 5:30. From there we started on our sneak nip. After the girls and their suitcases were situated in Reuter's car the boys with their possessions jumped into Romain's car destined for Great Falls. It was necessary for us to make our first stop in Glasgow. No, we weren't hungry, but due to the flopping of the hood on Romain's car we decided it was time to tie it down. We took advantage of the stop and had a cup of coffee. The air was full of snow as we started on another lap of our journey. We stopped and ate dinner in Havre. Mrs. Renter took the wheel in Malta and while traveling on, hit a bird which was flying low. Did she kill it?--Well, what do you thinkrr Well, we finally got to Great Falls. We checked into the Fergus motel and immediately started scurrying around unpacking. taking baths and dressing. Feeling very refreshed we went out to supper at the Schell Restaurant. After chicken and steaks, we divided into groups and took in different movies. Those who couldn't eat all their chicken, took it to the motel for breakfast the next morning. We all met and went dancing to very good music. Sunday moming we were all too tired to get up, but we did--that is, the girls got up in time for church. The boys were to meet the girls at 12:00. at the church, but at 12:15 they still weren't there, so the girls walked to a drug store and called a taxi. Adeline was really thrilled, because it happened that she had never before ridden in a taxi. In the afternoon our first stop was 'Old Town at the Fair Grormds. We saw old buildings and also an old player music box. Then we took the river drive and went out to Giant Springs, the largest fresh water springs in the world. We also saw the fish hatchery there. We took a few pictures after which we went back into town where we made our next stop at the Saint Thomas Orphanage. There a boy took us around and showed us the different rooms and the large gymnasium. From there we went to the Charles M. Russell Gallery and Memorial Studio where we saw many different pictures which Charlie Russell had painted. Sunday evening we dressed up and went to supper at Borries, an Italian Restaurant in Black Eagle. Some ordered ravioli dinners but couldn't eat them all. After that we went to the dance at the Civic Center where Harry James and his famous orchestra played. Buddy Rich was his drummer and before the dance was over they changed drum heads several times. Monday morning we went up to the airport on Gore Hill. We saw two large airliners take off for their destinations of Los Angeles and Denver. Many small airplanes and jets were in the air most of the day. Our last sight-seeing tour took us to the Anaconda Copper Mining Company. Everyone seemed interested and really watched the hot melted copper pour into the moulds. Tuesday morning, after we had eaten breakfast, we were shown the beautiful Blue Room, Shell and Marine Rooms in the Schell Restaurant.
