.-Z Each class was allowed to elect two attendants from their class, the seniors electing three, one of which was then elected queen by the entire high school. The queen was not known until the time ofthe crowning. The attendants were-Senior: Miss .lo Ellen McCord and Miss Linda Welton, both attired in lovely white gownsg Junior: Miss Donna Sue Hatton and Miss Rose Ann Tromly, both dressed in beautiful orchid gowns, Sophomore: Miss Helen McCarter and Miss Janice Webster, both attired in becoming yellow gownsg Freshman: Miss Linda Bell and Miss Sue Ellen Pilz, both dressed in pretty blue gowns. The ceremony was given in accordance with St, Valen- tine Day, with Miss Roark being the Queen of all basketball hearts. Miss Roark was dressed in a beauti- ful white gown and crowned with a sparkling rhinestone tiara, The stage was gayly decorated with a large white heart trimrned in red backing the queen's throne and small hearts backing the attendants, At the front of the stage was a small paper fence, with these words written on it, QUEEN OF EAGLES.
