SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Thirteen years ago the class of 1985 start- ed spending it's time at F.C.S. and in June of '85 we will finally leave. Kindergarten was a great time, we played games and colored all day. We even had a snack time. All of us little five year olds had this illusion that school was always fun and a good time. Boy, were we wrongl We hit first grade and some kids left us and some joined us. Life seemed so confusing. Most of the class can remember a certain teacher on Halloween who took us into the closet and made us stick our hands in clam- my spaghetti and all sorts of disgusting things. As the years progressed we began to get the hang of things. By sixth grade we weren't the scared little brats anymore, well, we were brats, but the feats we overcame. What little trouble-makers our boys werel Th :y were so bad that the door to the boys bath- room was removed, even with a lot of pro- test. Then, High Schooll! WOW, we were so ex- cited: open campus, playing gym everyday, no more walking with the class in single-file lines, fighting over who was going to be the leader. About the only thing that came true was getting out of single-file lines. High School changed everyone. Teresa Trippi and Jeff Nickerson's love affair was over. Kim, Colleen, and Karina started their own gang. If someone didn't like someone else, a different person would beat them up. The science classes were a riot! All those long walks to the gravel pits looking for fos- sils. Were we really there for fossils? (No, we weren'tl) We have to confess, while our teacher thought we were actually looking for fossils we were really playing hide-and-seekl Classes were just great. There was Mr. Page, who, everyday would threaten to send someone to the office. Come on Mr. Pagel We know you aren't that kind of guy, you can't fool usl Then there was a certain paddle (row-boat oar is more like it!) that a certain teacher personally introduced to just about every- one in the class. He sure could swing that thingl Remember the time Mr. Bush caught Tim and Ruben spitting spitwads? Yep, they had to spend the rest of the day filling boxes full of spitwads! Talk about dry mouthl! Sponsoring movies on Friday nights was a blast! We went from holding hands to kiss- ing. But there was the time we spray painted the auditorium during one of those movies. Boy, were we in trouble! Needless to say, if one was up into the projection booth, our names are still therel Our class wasn't very popular with the teachers. We have had different advisors ev- ery year and I think Mr. Mazur had to practi- cally bribe them to take the advisorship of our class. He also had to see one of us sit- ting in his office at least three times a week. We never got into making money. We thought all these activities were for having fun and seeing how much we could get away with. Our class is so poor now that we can't even afford a class trip to Island Park! Our prom started out pretty negatively. At first were were mad at last years Seniors for denying us the right to attend the fair, then we decided to go for it and present a terrific prom. And that's exactly what we didl All of those hours throwing rolls of crape paper from one scaffolding to another, and usually dropping them. Our efforts weren't wasted though, our class put on one of the best and finest proms yet at F.C.S. The fair between Junior and Senior years was an experience, if that's what you want to call it. Some of us had a great time! But, then again, others of us didn't. We got away with a lot on certain days (and nights). The cooks were sweating over hot stoves while the day-old spaghetti was being served by the waitresses. Once or twice we were put into panic because we were told that the health inspector had our tent next on his list! We made it through that week, but we weren't sorry to see it over. Although our senior year here at F.C.S. will soon be over, we won't forget the times like the Halloween activiites with one of our classmates trying to run around the duck- duck-goose circle after Becky Dunham picked him as the goose. We must have all seen his eyes cross when he tried to run! We are all looking forward to our final prom and especially graduation. After 13 years of F.C.S. we can't wait to go out into the real world. Well, it won't be long and we'll be gone. I know everyone is going to miss F.C.S. and the friends we've made. But we've had our fun, and thank God were done!!!
