But knowing these ’’hams” as we do, this will be an outstanding production. If the Directors look a little sad, it’s because they’ve been ’’througn me mill” and realize the sleepless nights that will befall them. Serving as the student government of Friendship Central, the Student Council acts as a clearing house for various school activities, as well as a means of bringing the administration and student body closer together. The Student Council and its advisor, Mr. Marciszewski, have certainly done a fine job in representing the student body of F.C.S. 33 FUTURE FARMERS This year three F.F. A. members partici- pated in judging teams at the New York State Exposition. Also four members at- tended the State Convention, and five members participated in the Chapter Meeting Contest for Allegany County. Obviously these boys have had a busy year. Our thanks go to Mr. Gabriel for his fine work with the Future Farmers. FUTURE TEACHERS The Future Teachers organization strives to promote better understanding in the field of education. Members of the local chapter participate in a story hour for children, at the public library. Each member has the opportunity to cam an F. T. A. pin by observing classes for a required number of hours. Through the Future Teachers organization students gain an insight of the goals of education. HEALTH CAREERS CLUB This year one of the highlights in the activities of the Health Careers Club, was a field trip to Wyoming Com- munity Hospital at Warsaw. Mem- bers made stuffed animals which were given to children in near by hospitals. Five students have also been working as aides in area hospitals. The club has viewed films and held discussions with people in various medical fields. FUTURE HOMEMAKERS The purpose of the Future Home- makers is to promote a satisfying and appreciative outlook toward homemaking and family living. Among the year's activities, was a demonstration on preparing foods, given by a representative of the Rochester Gas and Electric Company. An important club event is the mother and daughter banquet held each spring by the F.H. A. members. The Future Homemakers have inter- viewed guest speakers and have held several lively discussions throughout the year. FRONT ROW: Walt Williams, Alan Mazza, Javier Vence, Norm Fleming, Butch Rose. BACK ROW: Dave Miller, Larry Willover, Don Welch, Gary Canning, Manager Hugo Bralts, Coach Ted Bedell. VARSITY The Golden Eagles bounced into the 1963-64 schedule with a vastly improved ball club. This was a season replete with thrills and excitement. Many of the games were cliff-hangers decided only as the final buzzer ended each contest. Presently the squad is in the running for a play-off spot. Seniors Don Welch, Norm Fleming, Walt Williams and Butch Rose gave Coach Bedell a strong nucleus to work around. For the 1963-64 season Coach Whitney fielded a young and in- experienced team. But as the season progressed improvement in team play and individual performance were noted. What the games lacked in finesse was more than made up by suspense and deter- mination. in a year or two several of the boys should give a good account of themselves as they move up into varsity competition.
