KAPPA OMEGA NU The year '64-'65 has proven another successful year for KON. One of the main highlights of the year was the Hillbilly lnformal Rush Party fchug-a-lugl. During rush week the KON's gained twenty-two pledges. With this type of boost, KON's had a good year to look forward to. A hayrack ride with our sister society, lota Theta Mu, got our social functions off toa good start.A formal and informal rush party was followed by an informal initia- tion and a formal initiation for the pledges. The annual KON Pizza Party during homecoming week was a big success. And if that wasn't enough, we planned a stag party right after that. Before Christmas, we had a carol- ing party with the lOM's. Then on New Year's Eve we had a real swinging party at Bob Minter's. Second semester proved as active as first semester. Again the KON's had their Valentine Sweetheart Ban- quet and elected a KON Sweetheart. This year KON's had two booths at the Cherry Carnival which proved most successful. On March 'l3, the Kononians left on their annual spring trip. This was the event of the year that every loyal KON looked forward to. The KON Alum- ni Banquet was a very important event of the year. At the end of the year, the KON's and lOM's had a book burning ceremony and school's out party. Stag parties and get-togethers with the lOM's tied the events of the year together.
