Rush Week produced many pledges for us. Parties at Conover's, hay- rack rides, the Cherry Carnival booth, our gifts to a needy family at Christmas, selling carmeled apples at the football games, buying new sweatshirts - these were some of our activities. Our group was well represented on the football and basketball teams, the honor roll, dramat- ics, and various other extra-curricular activities. No! lt was a MONSTER PARTY sponsored by the Delta Rho Alumni - and we were oft with a 'screaming' start. A Delta Rho - A.K.T. hayrack ride was soon followed by Rush Week's formal and informal 'Roaring Twenty' Party, which meant digging mom's and dad's old clothes out of mothballs. Pledge Week brought a 'Pledge Sneak' and the search was begun. A tour through a 'certain- state-college-library' soon revealed 'l7 pledges who were eager f?l for initiation proceedings to begin - and they did!!! The Pledges were soon put to work on several different proiects, such as the selling of Home- coming Mums. ln December, Delta Rho and A.K.T. ioined together for a Christmas Caroling Party which took them to the North part of town to deliver a turkey, food and gifts to the eight children ofthe family we adopted for Christmas. Although Christmas vacation sent us all in different directions, sixteen of us still managed an 'evening out' which included a show and dinner at The Holiday lnn. As the old year was left behind, we in Delta Rho can look back and be 'proud of the accom- plishments of the following girls: Nancy Breneman, Linda Brown, Juanita Chance, Donna Kinney. and Ruthie Knight for being elected as the Falcon Cheerleaders, Judy Tiaden who was our 'I964 Homecoming Queen, Janet Forcum, Donna Kinney, and Ruthie Knight who were Homecoming Queen Attendants, Jeanne Woods, who was the 4-H State Winner in Home Economics and won a free trip to Chicago, Carol Roberts, who did a tremendous iob when she played Chopin's Concerto with the Friends University-Community Orchestra, Kathy Knee, who won Fourth place in N.A.T.S., Char- lotte Sooter, who was Soprano Soloist in the BACH CHRISTMAS ORATORIO, Juanita Chance, Paulette Logue, and Vickie Breneman for fine performances in the play LIFE WITH MOTHER, and last but not least. Pat Martin and Nancy Turner who acquired their MRS. Degrees. The new year proved to be as exciting as the old. New uniforms were unveiled, formal initia- tion was held, parties and get-togethers were planned, a May Breakfast was attended and the year came pleasantly to an end with a Delta Rho-A.K.T. Spring Banquet that will not soon be forgotten. For Delta Rho'Alpha Nu, it has been a wonderful year! Ruby Bohl Sharon Benest Neva Bohl Vicki Breneman Linda Brown Juanita Chance
