He is quiet and unobtrusive, but has gained a reputation as an unflagging worker. He has been recently married, but has shown few of the Weaknesses of a newly wed. B., Friends University, 1907 Instructor in English Language and Literature Altho Mrs. Downs has been with us only a year and a half, We do not see how Friends could be Friends Without her now. Her ready sympathy and appreciation have Won the lasting friendship .ot the students in her classes, and many of them can testify that that friendship is mighty worth while. As a. teacher, too, she has proved her efficiency, and she excels in keeping up the interest in her classes. When any one needs a helping hand, there is no better person to ask, nor any one readier to give it than Mrs. Downs.
