A tie with Penn Charter and the victory over Friends' Central gave evidence of the lively spirit dis- played in every game. The intense enthusiasm of the spectators contributed greatly to the mental attitude of the players. Sportsmanship and teamwork describe the essence of the soccer season. The last game was a night contest in which Select nearly executed a major upset. Under the excellent supervision of Master Fred Nolde's abilities were developed to their utmost. This assured a constant supply of points as well as an indication that in future years, Select may be represented by a basketball powerhouse.
