CALDRO The Caldron is Select's literary magazine, though the cynical sometimes put the literary in quotes. The Caldron serves as a reflection of the creative talents of many students, with- out sacrificing quality. This year, the group has attempted to S E pattern its activities along the lines of the C E M I T T E E American Friends' Service Committee. By fol- lowing a given plan, the committee with the aid of the student body, has made soap, wooden toys, stuffed dolls, blocks, and other similiar articles which were sent to the American Friends' Service Committee headquarters and distributed to needy families here and abroad. Besides these projects, the committee spon- sored a very successful annual United Fund Campaign. The student body whole-heartedly responded to the mitten tree, and donated an abundance of gifts. At the end of a busy year, the Service Committee can feel justified in knowing that their work has been rewarding to all concerned.
