JU IOR ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE By means of interesting assembly programs, the Junior Assembly Committee, under the guidance of Teacher Margaret, has managed to keep us informed on such local happenings as Book Week and Pennsylvania Week. Because of these presentations, it is evident that the Junior High is as well informed on current happenings as they are talented in dramatic interests.

This year, the group has attempted to S E pattern its activities along the lines of the C E M I T T E E American Friends' Service Committee. By fol- lowing a given plan, the committee with the aid of the student body, has made soap, wooden toys, stuffed dolls, blocks, and other similiar articles which were sent to the American Friends' Service Committee headquarters and distributed to needy families here and abroad. Besides these projects, the committee spon- sored a very successful annual United Fund Campaign. The student body whole-heartedly responded to the mitten tree, and donated an abundance of gifts. At the end of a busy year, the Service Committee can feel justified in knowing that their work has been rewarding to all concerned.
