STUDE T COUNCIL Regularly scheduled meetings have enabled the Student Council to tackle different matters which affect, to a greater or lesser extent, the welfare of every student in the school. Its mem- bers have aimed to make the Council a vital organ, an active and effective body in governing the school's affairs. Several of the Council's main problems have been associated with the proper supervision of the recreation room and the revision of the school Constitution, performed for the purpose of making the document more useful and con- structive. The student Co-op and the hall-aid system which have been in continual operation are just two examples of the Council's under- takings despite a regrettable lack of funds. lt is hoped that the Student Council will continue to have the support so necessary in the transaction of school affairs. RECGRD BUCK ln spite of the different obstacles and com- plications which usually arise in the course of performing such a task, the Record Book Staff has managed to publish its 1954 edition. Friend- ly cooperation and the combined efforts of various staffs have been largely responsible for the success of the completed work. General meetings have been held from time to time, and the separate committees have had their own sessions . ln general, we feel that our work has been reasonably satisfactory. You, the readers, are the final judges, and, thus, for your approval we submit The Record.

GIRL'S ATH LETIC ASSOCIATIO An ever active and enthusiastic organization, the G.A.A, has again led the girls of the upper six classes through many happy moments. Competition in the annual Song and Cheer Day skits started the students off with high hopes for coming eventsg the eighth grade won the most points and thus spurred the upper classmen to greater activity. The Mother- Daughter Banquet proved, as usual, to be an outstanding high-light in the school year, with each homeroom working industriously to cap- ture the hearts of mothers and judges. The rest of the A.A, program ran true to form with the basketball intramurals and the Father-Daughter Picnic. The A,A, does not hold the point system as its goal, but rather, the unity of all the girls in the seventh through twelfth grades. All of the girls, working together, combine to make the G.A.A, the strong and active organization that it is today.
