LADIES OF THE IURY The houselights dimmed as the spotlight focused on the first act of the Senior Class play, Ladies of the lury, directed by Mary lane O'Loughlin. This amusing comedy depicted the unusual trial of Madame Gordon CDe- nise Wikel, a beautiful French woman accused of murdering her husband. All evidence pointed to her guilt, however, one jury member CCarol Meachumi did not believe that she was guilty and finally convinced the others that she was right. The play was skillfully acted, di- rected and presented. For many of the cast members this was a first perfor- mance. They mingled with the more experienced actors and actresses, learning from them and generally hav- ing a good time. On closing night the performers re- ceived a standing ovation from a laughing and satisfied audience. That made the long rehersals and raw vocal chords all worthwhile. 250 X SUPPLEMENT 4711!
