CLASS HISTORY It was way back on the f1rst Monday 1n September ln the fall of l936 that e1ght l1ttle hopefuls toddled 1nto Mrs Fmegan s room to begln therr career 1n the Fnend schools In our second year we were Jomed by a bashful l1ttle blonde Ray Svehla tHow the years have changed Rayll In the thlrd grade we were moved 1nto the ma1n bulldrng What an honor' The ma1n event of our fourth year was the traglc burnlng of our school house 1n Ianuary l94O The ftfth grade found us 1n the llttle shop better known as the Manual Tra1n1ng Bu1ld1ng How we remember those cold tr1ps over to the Catholic School House for M1ss Larkrn s Geography class In the course of our srxth year we moved agam to the ma1n bu1ld1ng new burldlng Dunng thls year we changed teachers also In the seventh grade we found ourselves under the guldance of M1ss Larkm There was really a tr1be rn that room and how well we remember some of those rncrdents whlch took place We made a httle hlstory rn the course of the year but were to make our baa 1mpress1on the followrng year In our last year of grade school we were under the supervlslon of M1ss Barkmelr As we look back on that year we reahze that she had rather a hard ttme to control us We were qurte a problem for M1ss Weber our musrc teacher also W1th1n those f1rst elght years we gathered members and lost some but as you observe the orderly SQHIOIS of today you sttll see some o those llttle tots that started out wlth us As freshmen we were qurte orderly the frrst day' But we learned very our antlcs Remember those wlse cracks of McNerl1n s and hrs General Scrence was the topper After we had made an 1mpress1on on the Mlsse s Crones we no1s1ly sl1pped mto the lOth grade and proceeded on our way w1th the asslstance of M1ss Lehmer and M1ss K1rkoff Th1s year we were all shocked by the death of Coach McNerl1n as some of us struggled throught the 2nd year Spamsh others labored wlth Enghsh Algebra and Brology In our Iunlor year we had many thrngs to our credlt We presented a pray Showdown at Sawtooth whlch went over quxte well No one shall ever forget that Amerlcan I-I1story class under Mrss Lehmer Yes we were qettmg ourselves qulte a reputat1on but I beheve that we deserved a name better than knuckleheads A youth center was begun under Mr Morrts s superv1s1on It drew out ln terest for a wh1le We presented a Junlor senlor banquet wlth the proceeds of the class play late 1n Aprll Th1S ear was our last and we had an entrrely new hxgh school faculty We are proud to say that our basketball team was last year and 1S thrs year almost ent1rely composed of senlors We presented the class play lust Ducky and were very successful as far as the rece1pts were concerned We had a very emoyable sneak day and all are antlclpatlng our graduat1on which w1ll brlng our l2 years to a success ful end 4 . , , , , HG .1 .
