J U N I O R - S E N I O R P R O M The Junior-Senior Prom and banquet were held on Friday April 214, 1953. The banquet room was beautifully decorated in silver stars and blue and white candles. Silver nut cups with blue stars were used as place cards. The napkins were blue and white with the theme UStairway To The Starsn written in the corner. A delicious dinner of turkey with all the trimmings to apple pie was served. The Sophomore girls did a very good job of serving and the dinner was greatly enjoyed by everyone attending. Terry Jackson offered a few words of thanks on behalf of the honored Seniors. Harlene Ramage, mistress of ceremonies, introduced the guest speaker of the evening, Hr. Milo Smoots. Mrl Smoots spoke on the three basic principals of life. Harlene then inhroduced Hazel Hale who read a poem about the seniors. The Junior Prom then followed and was held in the gym. As you walked in the front door there was a garden covered archway of cedar boughs and ivy. A picket fence with two garden gates and trellises were extended the full length of the gym, this blocking off the bleachers. The false ceiling was of blue and silver SWITI which made you feel you were dancing under the open sky. To complete the theme, a stairway led to the king and queen's throne. The throne was made to look like a flower opening with the seat the center of ihl fliilll
