enior pfvtg On November 21st and 22nd the Senior Class of 1953 presented the annual class play titled, 'The Inner Willy. CAST OF CHARACTERS Willoughby Adams Kenneth Range Aunt Hester Rawleen Davis Aunt Louise Barbara Thompson Aunt Olga Etta Mae Tuck Inner Willy Jack Ringler Marybelle Turner Charlotte Carter Stanley Clark Jerry Waner Mike Terry Jackson Trudy Marshall Darlene Workman Janet Marshall Nancy Nash Carol Martin Lois Hammond The first act finds the three Aunts in the living room discussing Willo- ughby's profession it when he enters college the next year, with each aunthav- ing a different opinion of what he should be. Willy enters, his Aunts asking him whether or not he has a date for the dance. Since he doesn't, his aunts persuade him to ask Harybelle, a very unattractive girl. Marybelle accepts Wi1ly's invitation. Inner Willy, in his suit of long white underwear, appears from behind the sofa, and begins to make a nuisance of himself. Inner Willy is visible only to Willy. Early in act two, Louise enters with news that Marybelle is expected to have the mumps. Dateless again the Aunts invite Carol Martin over for tea, so that their nephew may have a chance to ask her. Much to Wll1y's disap- pointment Carol refuses because whe is going steady with Stanley. Shortly after Carol leaves the two unidentical twins, Trudy and Janet Marshall, enter who are also dateless. To decide which twin would be Willy's date, they draw sticks, the longest one winning. Janet wins the date and the two jealous sisters leave. Stanley and Mike enter. Stanley is a very provoked at Willy for ask ing Carol to the dance, so Stanley puts on a big scene' Mike said he came along just to make sure everything went just like the book. Carol enters very breathless just as Stanley gives Willy a sock in the jaw, Carol. is digusted with Stan1ey's attitude and accepts Wil1y's invitat- ion to the dance. Willy and Inner Willy are left alone again when Louise enters and says that Marybelle didn't have the mumps and would be able to go to the dance with Willy. Willy now has three engagements. In the last act willy with Inner W:Llly's help patches things up with Stanley and Mike who take Marybelle and Janet to the dance. Willy gets up enough nerve to tell his Aunts that he would like to be- come a Geologist. The door bell rings and Carol enters in a very pretty lilac colored for- mal. The Aunts finally realize that their little boy has grown up. 1 As Willy and Carol walk toward the door, Louise picks up the long white underwear from behind the -sofa saying What in the world is this suit of long underwear doing here on the'floor?
