Class Motto: TO ACHIEVE BUT NOT TO EXERT Class Colors: GREEN AND YELLOW Class Flower: RED CARNATION The Freshmen Class began the school year with twenty students. In Oct- ber Paul Charbonneau left the class and in December Jay King left. This de- creased our class to eighteen members. In February, Rodelle Duffy joined our ranks. In the way of entertain ent the Freshmen gave a dance on the 13th of October. The theme of the dance was that everyone wear a plaid that was visible. If a plaid wasn't worn, the guilty party had to appear in court Linda Hogan presided over the court as Judge. The dance proved to be great fun. A joint birthday party was given in January for Jim Capron, Charles Anderson, Gary McKay, and Charles Johnson. The birthday cake was baked by Nellie Lightheart, Gloria Larsen, and Jean Johnson. The four boys who made the second basketball team this year were Gary McKay, Jim Capron, and Gail Walrod, who represented the Freshmen Class at the play-off in Anacortes.
