CLASS lOTTOz To Be,Rather Than To Seem CLASS COLORS: Maroon and White CLASS FLOWER: Rosebuds The Sophomores had two dances, the first one being held on Sept. 22, which was a big success, The gym was decorated around the ba1cony'with evergreen branches. A large centerpiece was made up of straw ba1es,and wagon wheels, with several bundles of grain scattered about. The second dance was given on May 4th and was also a success. On Dec. 21 a joint bitrhday party for Jim Erickson and a Christmas party was held. We took our fourdm period English classand hadso muon fun that we ran into fifth period Geometry, so we invited Mr. Hannah in. Santo Pantoja is back after going to school in California for the first half of the school year. Etta Mae Tuck left for Texas to live. The Sophomores were the guniea pigs this year being the firstones to take the reading tests, A11 of us improved very much, Barbara being high with 1020 words a minute, and Jack second with 906. We had four people on the Honor R011 this year. They-were Lois Hamm- ond, Jack Ringler, Clarence Youngburg and Rawleen Davis.
