Qotserzt h. Jackson Justice We, the Class of 1955, dedicate this Senior Leaves to the most illustrious alumnus of our school. We are proud that this man, who spent his boyhood in our town and went on to at- tain the highest honors given in the courts of our nation, should have found Frewsburg worthy as his final resting place. Loving humanity, he abhored war and was one of those who believed that anyone, or any group, which purposely started an aggressive war was a criminal of the first degree and should be treated as such. This intense feeling was brought out in the famed Nuremburg Trials after XY'orld Wfar Il. As a judge in the United States Supreme Court, he had to make many weighty decisions that would affect everyone in this land-even the world. To make these decisions he had to be able to see the present needs of the people he served and maintain a balance on the scales of justice. He had to foresee what the ultimate ef- fect would be in situations arising in the future. Unerringly his feet steadily trod the path of justice toward his vision of a peaceful world governed by the law of the people. For these reasons, and many more, the Class of 1955, takes great pleasure in dedicating this publication to the late United States Supreme Court justice, the Honorable Robert H. jackson.
