Due to the fact that the first two or three weeks were taken up by getting materials in readiness for the coming year, the Freshmen Class did not hold its first meeting until the latter part of September. As a result of this meeting we found that the Class placed the following into executive ttfhces: President Mildred Atkins Vice President ........................................................................ Delores Oberg Secretary ......... John Cameron Treasurer Gerald Bennett Representative to Council .......................................... Herbert Classon It was voted to have regular meetings every two weeks. Plans were then made for the first party to be held in the auditorium. For this affair Constance Maser acted in the capacity of the hostess. This was followed by the Valentine Party which was enjoyed by everyone from the beginning to the very end. Then with the coming of the snow 21 sleighride was enjoyed by the members of the class. The last event or party of the year was again held in the audi- toriurn with George Rice acting as the tiMatron 0f the Kitchen? Some people are still wondering just what became of the jellos and cookies that they brought. Of course, as is always true, all things must come to an end; however, as a closing thought the Freshmen class feel that this year has been enjoyable as well as profitable under the supervision of Mr. Vetter. THIRD YEAR JUNIOR HIGH Everyone realizes that it is the spirit of co-operation that decides the fate of any organization. With this idea in mind, the Freshman Class prides itself on the fact that nearly the entire class is enlisted in one or more Of the extracurricular activities. Out of a possible 33, the Freshmen class has 23 members in the chorus, three members in the orchestra7 4 members in the hand, and several promising up and coming athletes. F. D. Roosevelt once said, c3A Nation,s future lies in its youth. If this is true, we feel that the future of F. H. S. is rested in hands that are worthy of carrying on the ideals and traditions for the oncoming years. Those active in the Band are Dorothy Stanley, Marjorie Wickmark, Herbert Elmore and Carl Wilzen; Orchestra, Shirley Van Dewark, Gerald Bennett and Carl Wilzen; Athletics, Raymond Birt, John Cameron, Cari Wilzen, Gordon Danielson, Robert Walker, John Nelson, George Rice, and John Koiodezak.
