President, Carolyn Danielson as Secretary, and Wraiter Stanton as Treasurer. Class pins were purchased and blue and gold were chosen as class colors. At the first meeting in September of the year 1934-1935, under the able supervision of its second faculty advisor, Mr. George J. Vetter, election of oiiicers took place. The group was led by the President, Barbara Mahnquist, assisted by the Vice President, Eugene Rockwood, the Secretary, Ruth Weber, and the Treasurer, Albert Mattson. At the beginning the class numbered ap- proximately fifty members. It was decided to keep the same colors and the t'orget-me-not was chosen as the class Hower. During the year the number of members dwindled considerably. However, its loss in number was compen- sated by an increased activity. ' When school convened in September, 1935, the first routine business transacted was the election of officers. The class chose Betty Fenton as Presi- dent, Eugene Rockwood was re-eieeted Vice President, Lillian Watkins was chosen Secretary and Mary Guild, Treasurer. Miss Mary H. Frew is the faculty advisor at present. Due to her untiring efforts, the success of the Class was made possible. When the Student Association was organized, a member of the Sopho- more class, Marjorie Larson, was chosen by the group as secretary. Walter Stanton was chosen by the Class as Sophomore representative on the Student Council. In February the class gave a party in the High School Auditorium with the faculty as invited guests. Dancing and games were enjoyed. Refresh ments were served by a committee. The honor roll has had the names of many members of the class on it. Many of the members have found the time in addition to maintaining a good standing to engage in extra-eurricular activities. The majority of these peo- ple belong to the music organizatiOHSethe chorus7 orchestra, and band. Those inclined along athletic lines have become members of the girls, basketball, bays7 basketball, or baseball teams and have won recognition for their school in this manner. The class hopes to hold its present members to the end and to finish up with the distinction of being one Of the largest classes to he graduated from Frewshurg High School. FOR 1936

Due to the fact that the first two or three weeks were taken up by getting materials in readiness for the coming year, the Freshmen Class did not hold its first meeting until the latter part of September. As a result of this meeting we found that the Class placed the following into executive ttfhces: President Mildred Atkins Vice President ........................................................................ Delores Oberg Secretary ......... John Cameron Treasurer Gerald Bennett Representative to Council .......................................... Herbert Classon It was voted to have regular meetings every two weeks. Plans were then made for the first party to be held in the auditorium. For this affair Constance Maser acted in the capacity of the hostess. This was followed by the Valentine Party which was enjoyed by everyone from the beginning to the very end. Then with the coming of the snow 21 sleighride was enjoyed by the members of the class. The last event or party of the year was again held in the audi- toriurn with George Rice acting as the tiMatron 0f the Kitchen? Some people are still wondering just what became of the jellos and cookies that they brought. Of course, as is always true, all things must come to an end; however, as a closing thought the Freshmen class feel that this year has been enjoyable as well as profitable under the supervision of Mr. Vetter.
