Her criticisms are never destructive, but always given in suggestions for better ways of conduct. She leads every student with whom she works to a victory over his prob- lems. None ever comes from her office without renewed courage and inspiration. To face life honestly, to weigh problems wisely. to conduct ourselves with confident poise: these are the lessons we've learned from our dean. Nliss Nlarsh, we salute you. GZ' ykrlzef jak' Enirok

im Four PRESENTATIGN RESSING heavily upon the conscience of al American youth today is the acute necessity fo continuance of our way of life. Believing that the hes defense we can furnish our country is an intelligent healthy, moral and happy citizenry, we Fresno Tech nical students have hent our school life toward thi goal. 'llumhling civilizations have shaken our campu conduct, and. whether we've willed it or not, a seriou purpose has possessed us in our curricular routine. To correlate the purposeful spirit of national loy alty, which marks our school lives this year of nineteei hundred forty-forty-one, with a resume of the campu year, we have chosen DEFENSE as our theme. Cartoons by the staff artist simulate military situ ationsg military terms march through the sections as ai indication not of war hut of student alertness to th defense of Americanism which will result from educa tion.
