ASSOCIATION OFFICE LL student activities are financed through the Association Office with the approval of the Board of Directors. General manager of the Fresno State College Association is Arthur Safstrom, who appoints all employees of the Association. The Association Office acts as treasurer for many of the college organizations. The college is promoted and publicized by the Board of Public Relations, Plays, concerts, and athletic events are brought to the attention of the public through newspapers, magazines, and radio. Every week an average of 220 publicity releases on college activities are distributed throughout the Valley. The library on registration day REGISTRAR? OFFICE N accurate record of courses taken and grades received by each student who registers for work at Fresno State College is prepared and maintained in the Reg- istrar's Office. Under the direction of Mrs. Wilma Wight, registrar, the office, located in the administration building of the col- lege, also provides transcripts of a stu- dent's record upon request of the student. In this office, records for degrees and credentials are evaluated and information is given to students and prospective gradu- ates regarding their individual records. Statistics concerning enrolment and major fields are also provided. Other duties car- ried out by the Registrar's Office include evaluating records of new students apply- ing for admission to Fresno State and giving information to entrants regarding admission requirements and registration. A new method of pre-registration was put into effect this spring to alleviate con- fusion on registration day. By this plan, students consulted with their advisers about their programs for next semester and new class programs were planned.
