elaarfmenf ,jvleavli Marion A. Grosse, head of the industrial arts department, has had practical experience in industry for 20 years. He has been alfiilated with Fresno State since 1930 and he received his A.B. here in 1936. He has done graduate Work at Stanford University. Dr. Albert Ray Lang, dean of the upper di- vision at Fresno State College, is head of the department of education. A graduate of Ne- braska Wesleyan University, he received his master's degree from the University of Nebras- ka, and his Ph.D. from Stanford University. He has done graduate Work at Columbia Univer- sity. He has been at Fresno State since 1927. Dr. V. Calvon McKim, head of the Fresno State Col1ege's Department of Geography and Geology, is a graduate of Wayne State Teach- ers' College, Nebraska. He received his A.M. from the University of Nebraska and his Ph.D. from the same school. He has taught in Hawaii and the Philippines as Well as at Texas A. ci M. College and the University of Nebraska. He came to Fresno State in 1942. W. B. Mikesell, head of the commerce de- partment, has been at Fresno State College since 1926. A graduate of Ohio State Univer- sity, he received his A.M. from the University of California. He has been a graduate student at the Universities of Southern California and California, and American Peop1e's College in Europe. Dr. Frank R. Morris, head of the mathematics department at Fresno State College, is a grad- uate of Valparaiso University, Where he re- ceived a B.S. degree. He received his A.M. from Indiana University, his Ph.D. from the Uni- versity of California, and has been on the fac- ulty of Valparaiso University, Indiana Univer- sity, and the University of California. He has been at Fresno State College since 1921. Louise Porch is head of the homemaking de- parmtent at Fresno State College. She is a graduate of Rockford College and received her master's degree from Columbia University. After doing graduate work at the University of Chicago she was on the faculty oi Stephens College before coming to Fresno State in 1942.

1 'tit ug! Elton M. Baker, head of the chemistry depart- ment, has been associated with Fresno State since l942. He received his B.S. from North- western State College, his M.S. from Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College, and his Ph.D. from Oregon State College. He has done graduate work at both Ohio State University and Phillips University. Dr. Arthur C. Berdahl, head of music depart- ment, has been affiliatedl with the Fresno State College since 1932. He received his A.B. degree at Augustana College, his A.M. at State Uni- versity of Iowa, and his Ph.D. at State Univer- sity of Iowa. Alexandra Bradshaw, head of the Art De- partment at Fresno State College, is a graduate of Stanford University, where she received her A.B. degree. She has studied at' the Depart- ment of Fine Arts, Los Angeles Normalg Los Angeles Art Students League, Columbia Uni- versity, Academie of M. Andre ,L'hote, Paris, with Herr 'Hoffman of Munichg and with the Pasadena Art Colony. Culbertson is head of the agriculture and biology department at Fresno State Col- lege. A graduate of Emporia College, he re- ceived his A.B. from Yale University and his master's degree from Kansas University in l9l5. He has been at Fresno State since. l925. Dr. Guy B. Colburn, head of the department of foreign languages at Fresno State College, is a graduate of Brown University, where he received his master's degree. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin, and has been a graduate student at Rome, Paris, Ma- drid, Harvard University, and Princeton Uni- versity. He has been-on the faculty of Grin- nell College, Swarthmore College, University of Missouri, Williams College, and Princeton University. He has been at Fresno State since Afton Yeates Eliason, who has been at Fres- no State since 1935, is head of the department of physics. He received both his B.S. and AM. from the Utah State Agricultural College, and his Ph.D. from the University of California, where he was also engaged in research work for two years.

Iohn Willis Wright is heady of the department of speech at Fresno State College. He is a graduate of the University of Washington, where he received his rnaster's degree in 1934. I-Ie is a graduate student of Yale University School, the Cornish School of the Theatre, and the University of Southern California. He has been in charge of drama activities at Fresno State College since 1929.
