This impetus was given to the school by Dr. Wilbur Smith of Fuller Theological Seminary during P. B. I. Day. Friends of the school as well as the students and faculty observed the opening of a new school year by becoming acquainted with the school and receiving an incen- tive to make it a year well worth while. The fin- est seed, favorable climatic conditions and intense cultivation will produce exceptional plants. During Bible Emphasis Week, the students of P. B. I. received every opportunity to grow in their spiritual lives. Dr. J. Vernon McGee unfolded the truths of the Word, challenging each one anew. Messages were also brought by Rev. Clarence Fast, Rev. Walter Penner, Rev. Henry Epp, and Rev. Dan Goertzen. These services, in addition to the many pray- er meetings, were instrumental in bringing the students and faculty into a deeper knowledge and understanding of the Word.
