I Sonia, Dennis, Deon, Paul, Charline, and Sue are the officers for German Club. German Club was organized in i930 tor the purpose ot promoting an interest in the German customs and language. This club had money raising ventures ancl participated in the all-language-club banquet held in December. This group has sent gifts to the residents of an orphanage in France at Christmas time for the past six years. lt had also participated in the annual Mardi Gras, and the lnternational Christmas Potluck. This past year the French Club cooperated with the American Field Service in an attempt to bring more exchange students to Fresno High.

Hypatia members listen intently at the meeting. Hypatia, a club which turthers literary and en- courages social advancement, was established in 1918. It is a strong, but friendly rival ot Por- tia's. This year Hypatia furnished models for a fashion show in February, and sponsored a Senior Din- ner, spring parties, concessions at games, and Blossom Day with Portia.
