A Ry X 1' J N. 41 MTW' Frenship School District, comprising one hundred twenty-five square miles, is located in the southwest corner of Lubbock County. Before 1890 there were no permanent settlers in that portion of the South Plains that is now known as the Frenship School District, In 1923 Wolfforth built a four room brick building, employed four teachers for the first time, and five years later was made an independent district composed of thirty-two square miles in area. The Frenship Rural High SchoolDistrict No.2 was formed from districts of Wolfforth, Carlisle, Foster, and Hurlwood. InMay of 193 5, E. R. Haskins was given a contract as the first superintendent of the newly formed Rural High School District by the Board of Education composed of the following members: M. E. Casey, R. S. Hobgood, C. R. It is complete with twelve class- rooms, auditorium, sound system, electric bell, central heating system, and movie projector. The cost was S150,000. PRINCIPALS Mr.A. The building is located ona 20acre plot of land. T e n ac re s of this land was bought'by the school and ten acres was donated by Mr. ME. Casey. The schoolwas named for Mr. Casey because of this. The very modern struc - ture houses the first three grades and consists of seven rooms and a cafeteria.
