Seventh period found most students in a study hall or just in the halls. Our well-established comput- er lab commanded by Mr. Unruh became a great success and was usually quite busy. And only four from each study hall were allowed in the library. Some of these changes were drastic, but the Frenchtown students took them in stride. 1. Seniors Roxanne Stavish and Kevin Clark work hard (?) on the computers. V This school still does have its weirdos as proved by Sue Jostes. 6 Student Life IN GENERAL 5. They in turn taught us how other kids live in different countries which isn't much different from typical American teenagers. 1. Hakan Bjorklund from Sweden lived with Adams family. 2. I will all my mirth and merriment abilities to Scar. I will my football locker to any poor fool who wants to search through the scum. I’d like to will my football abilities to nobody, because they are dang near lethal. I will to Megan Howard my driving ability so she can become a true member of S. A. D. I will to Lisa and Denielle my wiggle so they can get a real kick out of it next year too. Last, but not least, I will all of my vehicles to the auto mech class so they know what motoring machines” actually look like. I, Libby Jensen, being of deformed body and demented mind hereby will the following items. I will my speeding tickets and $100 a month insurance payment to Ambre Marcure because one more won't make a difference. I will my ability to play quarters’ to Jodi Halverstadt. She needs all the help she can get! I also will my greatest talent of all, note forging and skipping, to my little brother, because he will be needing them. 1 will to all upcoming freshmen my gift of gab. They w ill need it to talk their way out of all the sit- uations I did and many more. I, Andrea Quamme, being of little body and little mind hereby will my talents to the following: my great driving ability to Denielle Williams; my ability to stay in and enjoy cheerleading to Stacy Schellinger; my ability to skip school and get away with it to Jodi Topel, because she finds it extremely hard to skip school without feeling guilty about it afterwards; my laugh to Dwayne M., because he has always tried to imitate it. Last, but not least, I will my ability to keep things organized and neat to Mr. Johnston, because he needs it the most. I, Chauntel Lucier, being of somewhat sound mind and really tired body will the following: to Dana Arnold my ability to get out of trouble; to Sue Jostes my height; and to Paula Finley and Kim Hansen my clarinet ability. I'd also like to will to Mr. Paskey my math book. May he always enjoy it. I will to Brent Williams my ability to make triangles in Mr. Unruh's classes. I will to all of the underclass girls my ability to use tact with older guys. I also will my morning looks' to Denielle Williams. I want to will my sunny personality to Megan Howard. I. Bret Richardson, being of sound mind and ravaged body would like to will my presidency to someone who is willing to work well with Mr. Strothman. Mr. Strothman is the only hope for Frenchtown High School's Student Council. I will my football ability tojoe Miller, he has the size and determination. I will my basketball ability to the opponents. I also will my speed to A1 Troester so he can get away from the people that are aggressive towards him. I will my brains to the freshmen class because there are too many ineligible. I will my Mondays to Air Bots and Casey. I would also like to will my lungs to Leo on those wonderful Mondays (he will know why). My ability to do tricks with licorice will go with me, I might need a job in the circus. Last, but not least, I will all my good times to my cousin Greg, he deserves them. I, Carl Nikoleyczik, being of sound mind and body hereby will the follow- ing: my advanced composition and C. P. S. skills to who wants them; my ability to play poker to anyone who loves money; my position as sprint trap target to Cory Dobak. I know deep down he loves the first movable mountain. Gary Hansen. I also will my ability of rebounding to Mark Kuhns; my bandit skills to Tim Howard; my ability to start jeeps to Troy Doxey; and my scummy locker to anyone who is willing to take it. tn § o STUDENT LIFE 1. More students participated in extra-curricular activi- ties than in past years. Although the students were frus- trated at things the administration did, both got along well during the course of the year. As a whole, the year went exceptionally well, despite a few mishaps. 1. A few of the freshman girls talk about the days gossip. 2. Tim Howard. Shane llaherlock, and Randy Trenary each have their own problems. 3. The girls team however, was one of the strongest teams yet. The 1985- 86 season was a very successful season as the team won many meets and had personal bests from most runners. The distance for the 1986-87 year is being changed from two miles to three miles because of the equality ruling. Mr. Strothman feels this ruling is to our advantage because of the ability and desire of the girls. Cross Country 75 76 Boys Basketball The 1985-86 boys basketball team faced a dif- ficult year. With a new coach and not many players out, the season ahead looked like a tough one. But, the team worked well together and by the end of the 85-86 season the team with a 3-15 record, found themselves in district play. They were defeated by Corvallis in their first game, but in their second game they rolled over Superior with a 66-55 victory. They then faced Corvallis for a second time and lost a tough fought game by just four points. They ended up fourth in the district and on their way to division- al play at Hamilton the following week. They ran into a little bad luck and were put out after playing two extremely good games against Plains (49-73) and Troy (57-61). All in all the team came a long way from the beginning of the season and deserve our con- gratulations. Kent Graves shows us his stuff. Scon Lucier with a look of toral concentration. A team that works with just the basics and the support of all 24 players. The Bronc Volleyball Team has proven themselves to be unstoppable. With only one senior player, Janice Sharberg, gone from the team and the rest looking forward to the next season, it would seem that nothing could get in the way of a first place trophy at State. The season started out with a bang. With the coaching expertise of Rhonda Lund and Mike Madison there was enough girls out to form three teams. The volleyball team took first place in the Central District and then went on to take a second place in the Western Divisional Tournament at Loyola. The Broncs were a tough match for the Big Fork vals though and the matches were very close, 15-18, 9-15. and 6-15. The Broncs were once again matched against the Vais at state after they defeated Fairview and Twin Bridges in the consolation games. The game was won by the Big Fork Vais after two matches of 10-15 and 4-15, but the Broncs fought hard and were proud to take home a second place trophy from state. 80 Volleyball BASIC RAW TALENT Volley ball 81 Coach Rhonda Lund. The Broncs were also the team to beat in tourney action, where they brought home a third place tro- phy from our division, a second place trophy from Darby, and won the Arlee Tourney. Another great high point was placing fifth in the Dillon Tournament, ahead of 10 other AA, A, B, and C teams from three different states. To advance to state is a privilege in itself. Todd McCollum, Kenny Zuraff, Darrin Rinker, David and Steven Clarke, and Joe Miller all wrestled against the best in the state. Steven Clarke, for the second year in a row placed second at 105, his brother David placed again this year, receiving fifth at 132. The individual wrestlers all contributed to a great year and a one of the best teams ever. A special farewell to Todd, Kenny, Darrin and Tracy, the four seniors. GOOD JOB BRONCS!! 1. Wrestling 85 STATE SENIOR The only four-year letterman on the team. Todd McCollum showed exceptional leader- ship qualities to the underclassmen on the team. With the second best record on the team he was one of the most improved wres- tlers on the team. Thanks for a great year!! Kenny Zuraff, after a year away from wres- tling, came back and wrung some necks for the team in key matches. Not only strong, he also had a great influence on the younger wrestlers. He was elected captain unanimous- ly by the team. Good luck Kenny!!! APPRECIATION 86 Wrestling BRONC WRESTLERS 1. Dwayne Myers anxiously awaits the whistle. 2. The weath- er was very uncooperative causing several track meets to be cancelled. However, the weather didn't dampen the athlete's spirits for they continued to work hard. Thirteen athletes (6 boys and 7 girls) qualified for state where they ran perhaps the best all year. Moreover, three school re- cord were broken the first day competing. Bret Richard- son broke the 300 hurdle record, Robert Touchette set a new long jump record, and the girl's 1600 meter relay set a new school record with the legs of Debra Ramberg, Tammy Taber. Denielle Williams, and Cheree Friedrich. Rick Sandefur played a dominating role in going to state in four events. Due to the stiff competition, he managed to pull out two sixth place finishes. Robert Touchette jumped to a fifth place finish in the long jump and Tim Howard added more points by placing fourth in the pole vault. The girls however only had one placing at state and that was Cheree Friedrich who took fifth in the 800. 90 Track SPIRITS!!!! 1.
